The McCart Group Completes Transition to EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants Brand

In December 2013, EPIC closed the books at approximately 350 employees and an estimated $70 million in revenue. 2014 challenged us all professionally to contribute to a larger organization and despite the occasional growing pains, we participated in a phenomenally successful year for EPIC. EPIC ended 2014 with nearly 700 employees country-wide and an estimated $160 million in revenue – more than doubling in size! This level of success has propelled EPIC to a top 20 ranked retail insurance broker in the U.S. and one of the top 50 brokers in the world. With nearly $1B in premium in the insurance market, EPIC has significant relationships with the world’s top insurance companies to the benefit of our clients. In addition to financial results, our top ranking as “Best Places to Work in Insurance” continues to attract exceptional talent to opportunities within the firm both nationally and locally.

As the company’s Southeastern hub, we are well positioned to benefit the most from the momentum of the company’s success. Therefore, we have decided that this is the optimal time to transition our firm’s brand to EPIC. I say this with mixed emotions as The McCart Group is not only my family’s legacy and life’s work, but the name and reputation that you as a client have come to trust over the years. For that, I want to thank you sincerely for your loyalty and assure you that the only thing that changes with this transition is our name. As President of EPIC’s Southeast Region, I will continue to participate directly in all major decisions impacting our current and future clients. In addition, I hold a position on EPIC’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and will always advocate for the best resources and solutions for our current and future clients in the Southeast. I also want to assure you that the quality people and service excellence you are accustomed to will not change; however, we will continue to invest in expanded capabilities and talent to meet your growing requirements and surpass your expectations.
