The Families First Coronavirus Relief Act (FFCRA) provided COVID-related sick leave for employees and relief to employers with 500 or fewer employees. The paid leave provisions of FFCRA expired on December 31, 2020. However, several states enacted laws similar to the federal legislation to provide COVID-19-paid sick leave to employers with 500 or more employees.
